A perfect solution to a costly problem: All temporary exterior elevators need a guard rail. When these exterior elevators are removed, there is a need for a new guardrail. Instead of chiseling and breaking your Q deck (thin slabs) simply preset your post anchors and thread mount your new rails.
In other words, avoid an expensive mistake where you have to chip, grind, burn, or cut your Q deck (thin slab) in order to put up a new guardrail.
The SAPS metal deck series is available for 5” thin slab metal decks with a minimum 20 gauge substrate. Installs with #14 TEK screws.

SAPS THIN METAL DECK ANCHOR
SAPS Metal Deck Anchor fastens directly onto the Q Deck and then becomes embedded into the concrete slab. Engineered to be used with SAPS surface thread mount guardrail system and SAPS approved surface thread mount D-ring. Invert anchor and use along with a swivel d-ring on the ceiling below.
